Leadership Committee
The Leadership Committee was formed as an Ad-Hoc committee by the 2025-2026 SGA Administration to be charged with familiarizing first-year students and the student body as a whole with the Student Government Association, registered student organizations, campus life, and campus procedures.
The Leadership Committee will accomplish this charge by hosting the ExCEL Program, a program dedicated to empowering students through personal and professional development in leadership and social skills. The students in this program, Excelers, will create close bonds by sharing their education and leadership experience with one another.
ExCEL - Experience, Community, Empowerment, and Leadership
The Leadership Committee shall be responsible for:
- Creating, organizing and executing a one-semester program, to be held every Fall and Spring semester in which the Leadership Committee exists, that is hosted by members of the committee to a cohort of selected students; and
- Dedicating, creating, and maintaining an educational curriculum for the empowerment of students through personal and professional development in leadership and social skills through the ExCEL Program; and
- Incorporating hands-on experiences, networking activities, and student-sponsored events into the ExCEL Program to motivate and inspire Excelers to build community within their cohort, the Student Government Association, and the University.
