Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities operated by recipients of federal financial assistance to include sexual harassment and sexual violence.

Although all faculty, staff, and student employees are required to complete a compliance module about Title IX, it is widely recognized that some staff, faculty and student employees are more likely than others to learn of incidents of sexual violence and sexual harassment including sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking due to their role on campus.

This workshop will provide information, resources and guidance on what to do if you are made aware of and incident of sexual harassment or sexual violence and the steps you must take to report the incident immediately to the Title IX Coordinator, Deputy Title IX Coordinators or appropriate department.

Title IX Training

Title IX training for University of Texas at El ��Ҵ�ý Title IX coordinators, investigators, decision makers and other facilitators:

Institutions must train all personnel involved in the Title IX process and publish training materials on their websites. Training must include a review of how to "serve impartially" and how to avoid "prejudgment of the facts at issues, conflicts of interest, and bias."
