Our Mission
The University Career Center has as its mission the career development of the students and alumni of The University of Texas at El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ (ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½); to assist in relating their knowledge, interests, and skills to meaningful career options; to inculcate the sense of professionalism required for success; to aid in their search for pre-professional and professional employment; to ease their transition from the University to a productive career; and to assist them as they navigate the world of work.
The University Career Center will be recognized within and beyond the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ community for excellence in providing comprehensive, state-of-the-art programs and services to advance the career development and employment opportunities of its students and alumni.
Our purpose is to expose ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students to options that best fit their individual career needs and aspirations. To that end, the Career Center provides part-time and full-time job listings, internship, and experiential learning opportunities, career/job fairs, career development workshops and presentations (e.g., résumé writing, job search correspondence, interview preparation, negotiating a job offer, navigating a career fair, etc.), résumé reviews, job search assistance, interview coaching, on-campus and virtual interviews, and employer contacts.
