As President and CEO of El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Water, John Balliew leads all aspects of water. wastewater, reclaimed water and stormwater services for El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½, Texas. Balliew is a 40-year veteran of the Utility, starting his career in the laboratory in 1983 and holding various positions of increasing responsibility. Before becoming President and CEO in 2013, he was vice president of operations and technical services.
A native of El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½, John E. Balliew is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University. In 2011, he was honored as Engineer of the Year by the El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers. Balliew previously served on the Board of the American Membrane Technology Association and currently sits on the Board of The Water Research Foundation.
