CUADRO was a temporary artistic laboratory in downtown El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ that served as a short-term catalyst for developing independent artist-led projects and engaging new and diverse publics. Featuring a series of events by LA-based Machine Project, and complementary workshops, exhibitions, performances and other projects by local artists curated by Andres Payan a Juarez native and recent graduate of Cal Arts MFA program.
This exhibition in the Rubin Center's Project Space will showcase photos, videos, documents and ephemera from the three-month long program. CUADRO highlights the Rubin Center’s engagement with local artists and national ideas, and was supported in part through innovative partnerships with the El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Community Foundation and the City of El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Department of Museums and Cultural Affairs along with generous support from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
