In Pasaportes Perdidos, border artist and activist Edgar Picazo Merino explores what it means to be fronterize negotiating a bilingual, bicultural, binational identity at the US-Mexico border. Through a series of multimedia works Picazo documents some of the daily negotiations that are part of border life. Picazo is the founding director of Azul Arena Magazine. He has worked as a freelance photographer and designer in project management, arts administration, and more always with a focus on the lived experience of the border. He has collaborated on dozens of projects with a wide range of artists from both El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ and Juarez putting him at the forefront of cultural production in the region. Pasaportes Perdidos is part of the Artist Incubator Grant Program of the City of El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Museums and Cultural Affairs Department.
