Play a key role in the criminal justice system through the application of science by becoming a forensic scientist. In this program, students gain a strong, multidisciplinary foundation in chemistry, biology, physics and geology. Visiting judges, lawyers and law enforcement personnel from both the U.S. and Mexico offer valuable, real-world education.

James Li, Ph.D., has a longstanding interest, expertise and motivation for biomedical and environmental research. ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students benefit from the associate professor of chemistry's broad research background in biomedical investigation.
Many forensic scientists work in crime laboratories, and the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ del Norte region houses law enforcement agencies at the local, state and federal level, providing ample job opportunities along the U.S.-Mexico border and beyond.
