Patricia Ann Provencio
Patricia Ann Provencio is the music director for the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Dinner Theatre and a lecturer for the Department of Theatre and Dance. Born and raised in El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½, she graduated from the University of Texas at El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ with a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Piano Performance, studying privately with Dr. Neil Stannard and Dr. Richard Baca.
After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Music, teaching class piano, until she acquired her full-time position. Ms. Provencio also was the principal pianist for the El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Symphony Orchestra from 1984-2002.
Her association with the Dinner Theatre began solely as music director in 1989. A few years later, vocal director duties were added to her role. Highlights include performing at the Kennedy Center after the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Dinner Theatre’s 1991 production of ‘Chess’ won the American College Theatre Festival.
A collaborative pianist, Ms. Provencio continues to accompany and coach.
