ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½

Dr. Manuel Ramírez obtained his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Texas at El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½, and a Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi. Holding a dual appointment with the Department of History and Chicana/o Studies, he has taught numerous courses including the History of El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½, Mexican Americans, Borderlands, Recreation and Leisure, and Chicano Studies. His current research interests include the history of Mexican Americans in El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ and the criminalization of the US-Mexico border.
