About TRIP
The Transportation Research Immersive Program (TRIP) aims to provide students the opportunity to explore engineering through the lens of transportation, giving students skills and knowledge to successfully pursue a degree in civil engineering.
TRIP is one-week long and full of learning activities. The program is set to begin Monday June 22, and run through Friday, June 26, 2026. Each day will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. Students will be provided with lunch every day of the program.
Activities will be hosted mostly on the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ campus with field trips to partnering transportation facilities throughout the city of El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½. Faculty researchers, graduate students and expert staff members will facilitate the week of R1 research and real-world activities.
Students who should apply to TRIP include:
- El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Community College students
- Rising junior and senior level Early College High School students who are taking dual credit courses
Eligible students will receive a stipend for their participation in the amount of $150.
